Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Identify and develop new customers in industries such as automotive, aerospace, heavy engineering, industrial equipment, oil & gas, and general manufacturing.
- Generate enquiries, RFQs (Requests for Quotation), and business opportunities for machining and fabrication services.
- Conduct customer visits, presentations, and technical discussions to understand requirements.
- Prepare and submit quotations in coordination with engineering and production teams.
- Negotiate commercial terms and close sales orders.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and service-related issues professionally.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Follow up on quotations and pending orders.
Marketing Activities
- Promote machine shop capabilities through digital marketing, trade shows, industrial exhibitions, and customer meetings.
- Develop marketing materials including company profiles, capability brochures, and presentations.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements.
- Support brand-building initiatives and lead-generation campaigns.
Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with production, quality, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure timely order execution.
- Maintain CRM records, sales pipeline, and customer databases.
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports.
- Provide market intelligence and sales forecasts to management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or related field.
- MBA in Marketing (preferred).
- 3–7 years of experience in industrial sales, engineering services sales, or machine shop marketing.
- Freshers with strong technical and communication skills may be considered for junior roles.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of CNC machining, VMC/HMC operations, turning, milling, fabrication, and engineering drawings.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and machining tolerances.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to read and understand technical specifications and customer drawings.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
- Strong customer relationship and problem-solving abilities.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Monthly sales revenue achievement.
- Number of new customers acquired.
- RFQs generated and conversion ratio.
- Customer retention rate.
- Gross margin achievement.
- Collection of outstanding payments.
- Customer satisfaction levels.
