We are seeking a seasoned SAP PS (Project System) Expert to join our Technology & ERP team at a leading real estate company based in Bengaluru. The incumbent will be the go-to subject matter expert for end-to-end project lifecycle management within SAP, covering project creation, Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) design, budgetary controls, budget activation workflows, and audit-grade records of budget changes — all in the context of large-scale residential, commercial, and mixed-use real estate developments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project & WBS Management
▸ Create and maintain SAP Project definitions including project profiles, coding masks, and project hierarchies aligned with real estate project structures (land acquisition, civil works, approvals, fit-outs, handover).
▸ Design multi-level Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) for each project phase, ensuring accurate cost and schedule mapping.
▸ Configure and manage milestones, network activities, and relationships between WBS elements and internal orders.
▸ Define and maintain project-specific user statuses, system statuses, and settlement rules.
2. Budgetary Control & Budget Management
▸ Set up and manage Overall Budgets and Annual Budgets for WBS elements in SAP PS.
▸ Configure Availability Control (AVC) tolerance limits, cost tolerance groups, and budget profiles to enforce real estate project spend limits.
▸ Perform Budget Activation, Original Budget uploads, and manage Supplement and Return transactions.
▸ Carry out Budget Transfers between WBS elements and maintain complete, auditable records of all budget change transactions.
▸ Generate and maintain Budget vs. Actual vs. Commitment reports using SAP standard and custom reports.
3. Cost Planning & Monitoring
▸ Execute detailed cost planning at WBS / Activity level using Easy Cost Planning (ECP) and manual planning methods.
▸ Monitor actual costs, commitments, and remaining budgets through CJI3, S_ALR reports, and Project Information System (PIS).
▸ Perform periodic project settlement (WBS to Cost Centers / Internal Orders / Assets under Construction) as per real estate capitalisation norms.
▸ Support month-end and year-end closing activities specific to PS module.
4. Integration & Cross-Functional Coordination
▸ Ensure seamless integration of SAP PS with FI/CO, MM, PM, and RE-FX modules.
▸ Collaborate with Finance (FICO) team for project-based PO / PR processing, GR/IR postings, and asset capitalisation.
▸ Work closely with procurement and contracts teams to link purchase orders to WBS elements and monitor project commitments.
▸ Coordinate with project managers and site teams to capture actual progress and relate it to financial performance.
5. Configuration, Documentation & Governance
▸ Handle SAP PS configuration changes, enhancements, and change requests in DEV → QAS → PRD landscape.
▸ Prepare and maintain functional design documents (FDDs), business process documents (BPDs), test scripts, and training materials.
▸ Ensure all budget change records, approvals, and supporting documents are archived per internal audit and statutory requirements.
▸ Act as the primary point of contact for SAP PS-related escalations, user queries, and incidents.
6. Reporting & Analytics
▸ Design and deliver PS-specific reports including budget utilisation dashboards, project progress reports, and commitment trackers.
▸ Leverage SAP Report Painter / Report Writer and BW/BI tools for management reporting on real estate project portfolios.

Preferred Qualifications
▸ SAP Certified Application Associate — Project System (C_TSCM52 / C_PM_72 or equivalent S/4HANA PS certification) — Highly Preferred.
▸ Additional certifications in SAP FICO or SAP S/4HANA Finance are a strong advantage.
▸ Exposure to Fiori-based Project Management applications in S/4HANA.
▸ Experience with SAP BW/BI for project portfolio reporting.
▸ Familiarity with RERA (Real Estate Regulatory Authority) reporting requirements for project-level financials.
