Job Title: Accountant (Accounts & For UDISE Work)

Reports To: Principal / Admin Head
Purpose of the Role
The Accountant is responsible for maintaining the school's financial records, managing fee collection, payroll, statutory compliance, and supporting administrative functions. The role also includes maintaining accurate UDISE+ data, coordinating with school authorities for timely submission of reports, and ensuring compliance with government education portals.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts & Finance
- Maintain day-to-day books of accounts, cash book, ledger, journals, and vouchers.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Reconcile bank accounts, cash balances, and financial records.
- Process vendor payments and maintain purchase records.
- Maintain fixed asset and inventory registers.
- Assist in preparing the annual budget and monitor expenditures.
Fee Management
- Manage student fee collection and maintain fee records.
- Generate fee receipts and account statements.
- Prepare fee defaulter reports and coordinate with the administration for follow-up.
- Reconcile fee collections with bank deposits.
Payroll & Compliance
- Prepare monthly payroll and salary statements.
- Maintain employee salary records and statutory deductions.
- Ensure timely compliance with applicable tax and financial regulations.
- Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits.
UDISE+ & Government Portal Responsibilities
- Maintain and update accurate student, staff, and school infrastructure data on the UDISE+ portal.
- Ensure timely submission of UDISE+ data as per government deadlines.
- Verify student enrolment, attendance, teacher details, and school profile before submission.
- Coordinate with the Principal, Admission Department, and Academic Office for accurate data collection.
- Generate and maintain UDISE+ reports and related documentation.
- Keep records updated as per guidelines issued by the Ministry of Education and State Education Department.
- Assist in data preparation for inspections, audits, and school compliance requirements.
Record Management
- Maintain confidential financial and administrative records.
- Preserve all accounting and UDISE-related documents in physical and digital formats.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of all financial and statutory records.
Administrative Support
- Assist the school administration in preparing financial and statistical reports.
- Support CBSE affiliation, inspection, and government compliance work by providing required financial and institutional data.
- Perform any additional duties assigned by the Principal or School Management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent.
- Preference for candidates with M.Com, CA (Inter), CMA, or relevant accounting certifications.
- Knowledge of UDISE+, MS Excel, Tally/ERP, and school management software is essential.
Experience
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in accounting.
- Experience in school accounts and UDISE+ data management will be preferred.
Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Working knowledge of UDISE+ and government education portals.
- Proficiency in Tally, MS Excel, and accounting software.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and record-keeping skills.
- High level of accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality.
Good communication and coordination skills.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
