Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assist in coordinating the transportation of materials and equipment to and from project sites, ensuring adherence to schedules.
- Plan and coordinate the efficient movement of goods and materials across various locations.
- Manage delivery schedules and route planning to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
- Handle import logistics and shipment processes, including documentation and coordination with customs and freight forwarders.
- Arrange and negotiate with transporters and logistics vendors to secure competitive rates and ensure service quality.
- Support inventory tracking and help optimize material flow and storage efficiency.
- Prepare and manage logistics documentation including E-Way Bills, transport records, and import shipment papers.
- Use MS Excel and Word for reporting, documentation, and maintaining shipment tracking logs.
- Provide regular updates to the Head of Logistics on logistics performance and potential operational issues.
- Ensure compliance with relevant transportation and import regulations.
- Assist in identifying and implementing basic process improvements to enhance logistics efficiency.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
- Graduate in any discipline (preferred: Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Commerce).
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in logistics coordination or operations.
- Strong knowledge of import logistics, shipments, and documentation processes.
- Experience in managing transportation, delivery routes, and coordinating with vendors.
- Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, and capable of generating E-Way Bills and logistics reports.
- Good communication and negotiation skills to work with transporters and vendors.
- Well-organized, proactive, and capable of handling multiple logistics tasks under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with transportation regulations and safety standards is a plus.
