Key Responsibilities
- Operate, set up, and monitor OD & ID Grinding machines.
- Ensure production targets are achieved as per the daily production plan.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, process sheets, and specifications.
- Select grinding wheels and process parameters based on component requirements.
- Monitor dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and product quality.
- Conduct first-piece approval and in-process inspections.
- Analyze and reduce rejection, rework, and machine downtime.
- Coordinate with Quality and Maintenance departments for process improvements.
- Ensure proper utilization of manpower, machines, and materials.
- Maintain production records, reports, and machine logs.
- Implement 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company policies.
- Train operators and setters on grinding processes and quality requirements.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of OD & ID Grinding processes.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Knowledge of grinding wheel selection and dressing techniques.
- Understanding of machining tolerances and surface finish requirements.
- Familiarity with measuring instruments such as Micrometer, Bore Gauge, Dial Gauge, Height Gauge, and Vernier Caliper.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of production planning and process optimization.
Qualifications
- Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.
- 1–5 years of experience in OD & ID Grinding operations within a manufacturing environment.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
