Role Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Biomedical Signal Processing Engineer to join our Research & Development team. In this role, you will work on the development of real-time physiological signal processing systems for next-generation healthcare and medical devices.
You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing end-to-end biosignal processing pipelines using ECG, PPG, and related physiological signals collected from real-world environments. This role requires strong practical implementation experience with noisy biosignal data, embedded systems, and signal acquisition hardware.
You will work closely with the CEO and cross-functional engineering teams in a fast-paced startup environment focused on building impactful healthcare technologies.
If you are passionate about biomedical engineering, embedded systems, and real-world healthcare innovation, we’d love to meet you.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop real-time ECG and PPG signal processing pipelines
- Work with raw physiological signals collected from real-world environments
- Implement digital filtering, denoising, peak detection, and feature extraction algorithms
- Develop robust pipelines for heart rate, SpO₂, and physiological parameter extraction
- Work on oscillometric and NIBP signal processing techniques
- Implement motion artifact reduction and signal stabilization methods
- Develop and optimize signal processing algorithms for embedded and edge devices
- Interface with biomedical sensors, analog front-end (AFE) systems, and acquisition hardware
- Work with microcontrollers and embedded platforms such as ESP32, STM32, and Nordic systems
- Analyze noisy biosignal datasets and improve signal reliability and performance
- Collaborate with hardware, firmware, AI, and product teams for system integration
- Create technical documentation, testing reports, and validation workflows
- Participate in prototyping, debugging, testing, and deployment activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, Signal Processing, Embedded Systems, or related field
- Strong hands-on experience working with raw ECG and PPG signals
- Strong understanding of digital signal processing fundamentals
- Experience with filtering, noise reduction, peak detection, and physiological signal extraction
- Practical experience implementing real-time signal processing pipelines
- Hands-on experience with biosignal acquisition hardware and noisy real-world data
- Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, or C/C++
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional engineering teams
- Strong communication and documentation skills
Preferred Experience
- Heart rate and SpO₂ extraction algorithms
- Oscillometric and NIBP signal processing
- Motion artifact reduction techniques
- Embedded systems development using ESP32, STM32, Nordic, or similar platforms
- Biomedical AFEs and sensor interfacing
- Real-time embedded signal processing optimization
- Experience with wearable or medical device development
- Exposure to healthcare IoT systems
Important Note
We are specifically looking for engineers with strong implementation experience in biomedical signal processing systems.
This role is not suitable for:
- ML-only profiles focused primarily on classification models
- Data labeling or annotation roles
- Pure research profiles without practical implementation experience
We are looking for candidates who have built and implemented end-to-end biosignal processing pipelines in real-world systems.
