We are hiring a creative and detail-oriented Graphical Abstract & Video Abstract Designer to create professional visual summaries for research papers, journal articles, healthcare content, scientific publications, and academic projects.
The ideal candidate should be able to convert complex scientific or technical information into clear, attractive, and easy-to-understand graphical abstracts, infographics, animations, and short video abstracts.
Responsibilities
- Create high-quality graphical abstracts for research papers, journals, and academic content.
- Design short video abstracts, explainer videos, and animated research summaries.
- Convert complex scientific, medical, healthcare, or technical information into simple visual formats.
- Create storyboards, layouts, icons, illustrations, animations, and visual concepts.
- Work closely with researchers, authors, editors, and content teams.
- Follow journal guidelines, publication standards, and brand requirements.
- Edit and revise designs based on feedback.
- Ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency in all visual content.
- Manage multiple design projects and meet deadlines.
Requirements
- Proven experience in graphic design, animation, scientific illustration, or visual communication.
- Experience in creating graphical abstracts, video abstracts, infographics, or explainer videos.
- Proficiency in design and video tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro, Canva, Figma, or similar software.
- Ability to understand and simplify scientific, medical, healthcare, or technical content.
- Strong visual storytelling, layout, typography, and design skills.
- Good communication and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Portfolio of relevant design, infographic, animation, or video work is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Animation, Communication Design, Medical Illustration, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Healthcare, or a related field.
- Prior experience working with research articles, journals, academic publications, healthcare companies, or scientific content.
- Knowledge of publication-ready visuals and journal submission guidelines.
