Key Responsibilities
- Prepare metal samples for metallurgical examination (cutting, mounting, grinding, polishing, and etching).
- Perform microstructure and macrostructure analysis using metallurgical microscopes.
- Conduct hardness testing (Rockwell, Brinell, Vickers, or Microhardness).
- Perform mechanical and physical property testing as per applicable standards.
- Verify heat treatment results and maintain related records.
- Carry out incoming material inspection and finished product verification.
- Record test results and prepare inspection reports.
- Identify material defects and report non-conformities.
- Ensure calibration and proper maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety rules, and 5S practices.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Stores for material testing requirements.
- Assist in root cause analysis for quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain laboratory housekeeping and documentation.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
