The Site Engineer will be responsible for supervising civil construction activities, ensuring quality, safety, and timely execution of projects. The role involves monitoring site progress, maintaining measurements and billing records, coordinating with consultants and contractors, and ensuring compliance with applicable engineering standards and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day execution of civil construction works for residential, commercial, institutional, government, and transport infrastructure projects.
- Monitor site activities to ensure work is executed as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.
- Supervise Building and Pavement Quality Concrete (PQC) works.
- Ensure proper use of construction materials and adherence to approved mix designs and construction methodologies.
- Record measurements of executed civil works and prepare Measurement Books (MB) and digital measurement records.
- Prepare, verify, and process contractor bills in accordance with contract conditions and CPWD procedures.
- Ensure compliance with BIS, IRC, CPWD, and other relevant engineering codes and standards.
- Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, MEP/service engineers, CAD operators, contractors, and other stakeholders for smooth project execution.
- Monitor quality control, safety practices, and progress at site, and report deviations with corrective recommendations.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, site documentation, and presentations for project management.
- Assist in planning, scheduling, and tracking project activities using MS Project and other project management tools.
- Support implementation of modern construction techniques, materials, and best engineering practices.
- Resolve routine site issues and ensure timely completion of assigned works.
- Maintain all project records, site registers, inspection reports, and documentation.
Essential Requirements
- Knowledge of construction materials used in buildings, roads, and infrastructure works.
- Experience in recording measurements, billing, and quantity verification.
- Knowledge of BIS, IRC, and relevant construction standards.
- Good report writing, documentation, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and MS Project.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable Skills
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Familiarity with CPWD specifications, General Conditions of Contract (GCC), and billing procedures.
- Experience in Digital Measurement Book (DMB) systems.
- Knowledge of latest construction techniques, equipment, and materials.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary project teams.
- Willingness to travel and relocate to project sites across NCR and Haryana.
