Job Summary
We are looking for talented HMI Software Developers / Engineers with strong experience in Automotive HMI development. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in C/C++, Qt/QML, Linux/Android/Open RTOS, and graphics technologies.
The candidate will be responsible for developing and integrating HMI applications for Instrument Clusters, Infotainment Systems, Head-Up Displays (HUD), and Digital Cockpit platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Automotive HMI applications for Instrument Clusters, Infotainment Systems, Digital Cockpit, and HUD.
- Develop HMI applications using C/C++, Qt/QML, OpenGL/Vulkan, OpenCV, and related graphics technologies.
- Translate UX/UI wireframes, prototypes, and graphical designs into interactive HMI applications.
- Integrate HMI software with embedded platforms, middleware, and vehicle electronic systems.
- Develop and maintain applications on Linux, Android, and Open RTOS platforms.
- Optimize HMI applications for performance, responsiveness, memory utilization, graphics rendering, and real-time execution.
- Work with automotive communication protocols and middleware for system integration.
- Debug, test, validate, and troubleshoot HMI applications in simulation and target vehicle environments.
- Collaborate with System Engineering, UX/UI, Hardware, Software, Validation, and Program Management teams.
- Participate in code reviews, software integration, build management, version control, and CI/CD activities.
- Perform defect analysis, root-cause analysis, and issue resolution throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with automotive development standards such as ISO 26262, ASPICE, and MISRA C/C++.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, design specifications, and development artifacts.
- Stay updated with emerging automotive technologies such as Digital Cockpit, Connected Vehicles, ADAS, AI/ML-based HMI, Voice Assistants, Gesture Control, and Augmented Reality (AR).
Required Skills
- Strong programming experience in C/C++ and Object-Oriented Programming.
- Hands-on experience in Automotive HMI Software Development.
- Strong experience with Qt/QML.
- Experience with Linux, Android, and/or Open RTOS.
- Knowledge of OpenGL, Vulkan, OpenCV, or other graphics frameworks.
- Understanding of automotive communication protocols and middleware.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD, build systems, and software version control.
- Knowledge of ISO 26262, ASPICE, and MISRA C/C++.
- Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Strong analytical, debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Educational Qualification
Bachelor's or Master's degree in:
- Electronics & Communication Engineering
- Computer Science Engineering
- Information Technology
- Electrical Engineering
- Embedded Systems
- or a related engineering discipline
Experience
3–20 years of relevant experience in Automotive HMI Software Development.
Candidates with experience in Instrument Cluster, Infotainment, Digital Cockpit, HUD, Automotive HMI, Qt/QML, C++, Linux, Android, or Embedded Systems are preferred.
