Software Engineer II
The GP&S ServiceNow team provides ServiceNow technology support to Deloitte Global and Member Firms. We’re hiring a ServiceNow Senior Analyst who will act as a subject-matter expert across multiple ServiceNow implementations, driving ITIL-aligned process over ServiceNow.
Work you'll do
As a Software Engineer II on the GP&S ServiceNow team, you will be responsible for:
- Designing, configuring, customizing, and deploying ServiceNow solutions for new and existing implementations
- Building and maintaining workflows, reports, data loads, and other platform artifacts to support platform operations and delivery
- Developing and supporting integrations with third-party systems and external platforms using web services and ServiceNow capabilities
- Performing testing, defect triage, troubleshooting, and platform administration activities, including release and configuration management
- Preparing documentation, runbooks, training materials, and solution handovers while collaborating with stakeholders on discovery, estimation, and implementation activities
The team
The GP&S ServiceNow team supports Deloitte Global and Member Firms by designing, configuring, and enhancing ServiceNow solutions that improve service delivery and operational efficiency. The team works across platform development, configuration management database (CMDB), Discovery, integrations, and process optimization to support scalable, ITIL-aligned solutions. Professionals on this team collaborate with stakeholders across functions to deliver stable, high-quality platform capabilities and continuous improvement.
Location: Hyderabad
Shift Timings: 11 AM to 8 PM
Qualifications
Required:
- 2+ years of hands-on experience working with the ServiceNow platform
- 4-6 years of overall experience in software engineering, platform development, or enterprise application support
- Experience with ServiceNow server-side and client-side scripting, including Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Actions, UI Policies, and access controls
- Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XML, JSON, and Ajax
- Experience configuring or supporting Service Portal, UI Builder, or Workspace
- Experience with REST and SOAP web services integrations
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification
- Bachelor’s degree
Preferred:
- Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) - Discovery certification
- Experience with configuration management database (CMDB), Discovery, Common Service Data Model (CSDM), Identification and Reconciliation Engine (IRE), and CMDB Health
- Experience integrating data from platforms such as Microsoft SCCM, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or SolarWinds
- Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environments
- Experience with one or more ServiceNow applications such as Information Technology Service Management (ITSM), Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM)/IT Business Management (ITBM), Human Resources Service Delivery (HRSD), Event Management, or Governance, Risk, and Compliance/Integrated Risk Management (GRC/IRM)
