Job Summary
The Area Sales Officer is responsible for increasing business in the assigned territory by acquiring new customers, developing relationships with existing customers, achieving monthly sales targets, supervising sales executives, and promoting the organization's financial products and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve monthly and annual business targets.
- Generate new customers through field marketing, referrals, and business networking.
- Promote Fixed Deposits (FD), Recurring Deposits (RD), Savings Accounts, Loan Products, Insurance, and Solar Rooftop Solutions.
- Recruit, train, guide, and motivate Sales Executives.
- Conduct daily field visits and customer meetings.
- Build relationships with local businesses, industries, government employees, traders, and self-employed professionals.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
- Ensure timely follow-up on customer enquiries and lead conversion.
- Organize marketing campaigns, financial awareness programs, and promotional activities.
- Maintain high standards of customer service and professional conduct.
- Monitor competitors' activities and provide market intelligence.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines.
Eligibility
- Graduate in any discipline (MBA/Marketing preferred).
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in sales, banking, NBFC, insurance, microfinance, or financial services.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Ability to travel extensively within the assigned area.
- Valid two-wheeler driving licence is preferred.
