About the Role
VahaLite is looking for a talented and creative Script Writer to join our content team. We are seeking someone with a passion for storytelling and proven experience in writing short-form drama content that keeps audiences engaged from the first scene to the final cliffhanger.
The ideal candidate should have experience writing short dramas, vertical dramas, or digital content, with the ability to create emotionally compelling stories that resonate with mobile-first audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Write engaging and original scripts for short-form drama series.
- Develop captivating storylines, memorable characters, and impactful dialogues.
- Create strong hooks and cliffhangers to maximize audience retention.
- Collaborate closely with directors, producers, and the creative team throughout the production process.
- Brainstorm fresh story ideas based on current entertainment trends and audience preferences.
- Revise and refine scripts based on creative feedback.
- Ensure scripts are production-ready and delivered within project timelines.
- Maintain consistency in character development, pacing, and story progression across multiple episodes.
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Script Writer.
- Hands-on experience writing short dramas, vertical dramas, web series, or other digital content.
- Strong storytelling, screenplay writing, dialogue writing, and character development skills.
- Understanding of audience engagement, emotional storytelling, and episodic cliffhangers.
- Excellent command of Hindi (English proficiency is an added advantage).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced creative environment and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Candidates based in Mumbai will be preferred.
- Prior experience writing short-form episodic drama content is highly preferred.
- A portfolio of published scripts or writing samples is mandatory.
Compensation
- Salary: ₹25,000 – ₹35,000 per month (Based on skills and experience)
