About the Role
We are looking for a highly motivated and result-oriented Assistant General Manager – Sales with strong exposure to Material Handling Equipment (MHE), industrial sales, and logistics solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving regional business growth, managing key accounts, and leading sales operations while ensuring customer satisfaction and revenue expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive high-value business opportunities by identifying and developing new prospects, especially in logistics, warehousing, 3PL, and 4PL sectors
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans aligned with organizational business goals
- Forecast annual sales targets, revenue generation, and profitability for the assigned region
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders
- Prepare costing, quotations, commercial proposals, and follow up until order closure
- Monitor regional sales performance and ensure achievement of sales targets
- Handle end-to-end sales cycle including inquiry management, negotiations, and invoicing coordination
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to identify growth opportunities
- Train, mentor, and guide the sales team to improve overall performance and efficiency
- Coordinate with internal departments for smooth execution of orders and customer support
- Travel within the region whenever required for client meetings and business development activities
Desired Candidate Profile
- 8–10 years of experience in Sales / Business Development within MHE, Industrial Equipment, Logistics, or Engineering solutions
- Strong exposure to customer acquisition and key account management
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities
- Analytical mindset with good planning and reporting skills
- Customer-focused approach with strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and drive business growth initiatives
