Responsibilities
- Edit long-form YouTube lectures and exam-prep videos to make dense legal content engaging and easy to follow
- Cut high-retention Shorts/Reels from long-form lectures for daily distribution
- Add music, sound effects, transitions, subtitles and on-screen graphics
- Handle basic colour correction, audio cleanup and motion graphics
- Identify the most "clippable" moments from raw footage and structure videos for maximum watch time
- Maintain a consistent visual style and branding across both channels
- Work closely with instructors to plan and structure content for clarity and engagement
- Deliver quality edits within deadlines
Tools
Adobe Premiere Pro – Required
Knowledge of CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, Photoshop, Canva or Audition will be an advantage.
Knowledge of AI video/creative tools such as CapCut AI, Runway or Adobe Firefly is an added advantage.
Requirements
- 1–2+ years of video editing experience, ideally on YouTube or social content
- Strong sense of pacing, hooks, storytelling and what keeps viewers watching
- Good working knowledge of colour correction and audio editing
- Comfortable turning long, talky lecture footage into tight, engaging content
- Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Good communication and teamwork
- Portfolio / Showreel required (include at least one Shorts/Reels edit and one long-form edit)
