About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Engineer with a strong background in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems. In this role, you will be the bridge between internal teams, designers, and vendors. You will be responsible for aligning all activities to meet strict project deadlines, managing budgets, and ensuring high-quality delivery for major infrastructure projects in the Sea Port and Airport sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning: Develop project schedules, budgets, and estimates; finalize BOQs in line with project scope.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with MEP vendors for delivery timelines and manage the requisition process with the Tender Department.
- Technical Coordination: Review project documents/drawings for compliance; reiterate with designers and suppliers to finalize quality and quantity.
- Stakeholder Communication: Lead weekly client meetings and daily internal stakeholder meetings to track progress and milestones.
- Project Oversight: Manage multiple MEP projects simultaneously, ensuring seamless coordination between contractors and consultants.
- Risk & Change Management: Identify project risks early, manage change orders, and handle contract modifications.
- Quality & Commissioning: Oversee QA/QC for MEP systems and lead the final commissioning and documentation close-out.
- Logistics & Finance: Manage Import/Export documentation and handle Bank Guarantee (BG) processes.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: BE/B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years of proven experience in MEP Project Management.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project (MSP) and ability to read/interpret complex Mechanical and Electrical drawings.
- Operations Knowledge: Well-versed in Import/Export processes and documentation.
- Soft Skills: Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Logistics: Experience with Bank Guarantees is a significant advantage.
