Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior UAV Engineer with strong expertise in UAV System Engineering, Drone Hardware & Software Integration, Flight Testing, and Drone Operations. The ideal candidate should possess hands-on experience in designing, developing, integrating, validating, and deploying UAV platforms while ensuring operational reliability and mission success.
The role requires a strong understanding of drone technologies, autonomous flight systems, payload integration, manufacturing processes, and field operations. The candidate should be capable of independently leading projects, mentoring teams, and driving innovation across drone engineering and deployment activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead UAV system engineering, integration, testing, validation, and deployment activities.
- Design, develop, and optimize fixed-wing, multirotor, and mission-specific UAV platforms.
- Configure and manage Pixhawk, ArduPilot, autonomous flight systems, telemetry, and mission planning software.
- Integrate Survey-Grade LiDAR, RTK, and PPK systems for surveying, mapping, and geospatial applications.
- Integrate EO/IR payloads, surveillance sensors, and mission-specific equipment into UAV platforms.
- Support ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance) drone operations and mission requirements.
- Conduct flight testing, system validation, performance evaluation, and reliability assessments.
- Troubleshoot UAV hardware, software, communication, and flight-related issues and implement system optimization measures.
- Lead drone manufacturing, assembly, product development, and deployment activities.
- Analyze flight data and operational performance to drive continuous improvement.
- Lead engineering teams and ensure successful execution of UAV projects.
- Ensure compliance with DGCA regulations, flight safety standards, and operational procedures.
Required Skills
- DGCA Certified Drone Instructor or extensive knowledge of DGCA regulations and UAV operations.
- Strong expertise in UAV System Engineering & Integration.
- Hands-on experience in Survey-Grade LiDAR, RTK & PPK Integration.
- Proven experience in Flight Testing & Validation of UAV platforms.
- Experience working with ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance) Platforms.
- Expertise in EO/IR Payload Integration and surveillance systems.
- Proficiency in Pixhawk, Ardu Pilot, MAV Link, and Autonomous Flight Systems.
- Experience in Drone Manufacturing & Product Development.
- Strong Team Leadership & Project Execution capabilities.
- Expertise in Troubleshooting, Root Cause Analysis & System Optimization.
- Hands-on experience with Fixed-Wing, Multirotor, and Mission-Specific UAV platforms.
- Experience supporting Defence, Surveying, Mapping, Inspection, and Surveillance applications.
