Production Manager – Shirts Manufacturing

About the Role
Yasko Garment Factory is looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead and manage our shirt manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in garment production processes, strong floor management skills, and a track record of meeting production targets without compromising quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and oversee the entire shirt production process from cutting to final packing
- Manage daily production targets, line balancing, and manpower allocation across departments
- Monitor fabric consumption, wastage control, and cost efficiency
- Ensure quality control standards are met at every stage of production (cutting, sewing, finishing, packing)
- Coordinate with merchandising, sampling, and procurement teams to ensure timely order execution
- Supervise and guide supervisors, line in-charges, and tailoring staff
- Track machine maintenance schedules and ensure minimal downtime
- Maintain production reports, efficiency reports, and daily output records
- Implement and enforce factory SOPs, safety standards, and labor compliance
- Identify bottlenecks in production flow and implement corrective actions
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in garment manufacturing, specifically in shirts production
- Strong knowledge of shirt construction — cutting, stitching operations, SAM (Standard Allowed Minute) calculations, and line layout
- Experience with production planning and line balancing techniques
- Familiarity with quality control systems (AQL standards, inline/endline inspection)
- Strong leadership and team management skills — ability to manage 250+ floor workers
- Knowledge of industrial sewing machines, special machines (button hole, button attach, etc.)
- Proficiency in production tracking (Excel/ERP systems is a plus)
- Good communication skills to coordinate across departments
- Problem-solving mindset with ability to work under production deadlines
Pay: From ₹65,000.00 per month
