Position: OT Technician

Job Summary
The OT Technician is responsible for preparing and maintaining the operation theatre, assisting surgeons and nursing staff during surgical procedures, ensuring the availability and proper functioning of surgical instruments and equipment, and maintaining strict infection control standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare operation theatres before surgeries.
- Arrange and sterilize surgical instruments, equipment, and consumables.
- Assist surgeons, anesthetists, and nursing staff during procedures.
- Ensure proper functioning of OT equipment, monitors, cautery machines, suction apparatus, and operating tables.
- Maintain aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
- Assist in patient positioning and transportation to and from the OT.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of surgical supplies and consumables.
- Clean and disinfect OT equipment and theatre areas after procedures.
- Maintain OT records, equipment logs, and documentation.
- Report equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs.
- Follow NABH, safety, and hospital quality standards.
Qualifications
- Diploma/B.Sc. in Operation Theatre Technology (OTT) or related allied health sciences.
- Valid certifications, if applicable.
- Freshers or experienced candidates may apply.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of surgical instruments and OT procedures.
- Understanding of sterilization and infection control practices.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and in emergency situations.
- Basic computer and documentation skills.
Experience
- Fresher to 3 years of experience in a hospital operation theatre.
Salary
- As per qualifications, experience, and hospital policies.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,713.10 per month
