Job Summary
Lotus Hi-Tech Industries is seeking an experienced and result-oriented Plant Head to oversee the complete manufacturing operations of our PEB and structural steel fabrication facility. The candidate will be responsible for production planning, quality control, manpower management, maintenance, safety compliance, dispatch coordination, and overall plant performance to ensure timely project execution and maximum productivity.
Key Responsibilities
Production Management
- Lead and monitor day-to-day plant operations.
- Ensure achievement of production targets as per project schedules.
- Optimize machine utilization and manpower productivity.
- Monitor fabrication activities including cutting, welding, drilling, assembly, and painting.
Planning & Coordination
- Coordinate with design, procurement, quality, and project teams.
- Prepare production schedules and ensure timely execution.
- Monitor material availability and reduce production delays.
Quality Control
- Ensure adherence to approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Implement quality checks throughout the manufacturing process.
- Minimize rework and fabrication errors.
Manpower Management
- Supervise production supervisors, engineers, and shop-floor workers.
- Allocate manpower efficiently across departments.
- Conduct performance reviews and workforce training.
Plant Maintenance
- Ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance of machines and equipment.
- Maintain operational efficiency of CNC cutting machines, welding equipment, EOT cranes, compressors, and painting systems.
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce safety regulations and factory compliance standards.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and toolbox meetings.
- Ensure adherence to statutory and environmental requirements.
Dispatch & Inventory Control
- Coordinate finished goods dispatch as per project priorities.
- Monitor raw material consumption and inventory levels.
- Reduce wastage and improve material utilization.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of PEB manufacturing and structural steel fabrication.
- Expertise in production planning and process improvement.
- Understanding of welding standards and quality systems.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of ERP systems and MS Office.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in PEB, steel structure, fabrication, or heavy engineering industries.
- Exposure to production planning, fabrication, painting, and dispatch operations.
- Ability to manage large teams and multiple projects simultaneously.
