- Review and approve electrical designs, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Plan and supervise installation of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, earthing, cable routing, transformers, generators, and related equipment.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, MEP teams, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Ensure all electrical works comply with local electrical codes, safety regulations, and project requirements.
- Monitor project progress and ensure completion within budget and schedule.
- Conduct site inspections and quality checks of electrical installations.
- Review material submittals, shop drawings, and vendor proposals.
- Troubleshoot technical issues arising during construction and commissioning.
- Prepare project reports, progress updates, and technical documentation.
- Support testing, commissioning, and handover of electrical systems.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies.
- Mentor junior engineers and site electrical staff.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Professional engineering certification/license (preferred).
- 8–15 years of experience in electrical engineering within construction or infrastructure projects.
- Experience in commercial, residential, industrial, or high-rise building projects.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of electrical design and construction practices.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and electrical design software.
- Knowledge of power systems, load calculations, lighting design, and protection systems.
- Understanding of applicable electrical codes and standards (IEC / NEC / local regulations).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with testing and commissioning procedures.
