- HSE Policy Implementation: Assist in the development and implementation of HSE policies, procedures, and protocols, tailored to the specific needs of the EV logistics industry (handling of electric vehicles, battery safety, etc.).
- Risk Assessment & Safety Audits: Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits at warehouses, loading docks, transportation routes, and other operational areas to ensure compliance with HSE standards. Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Battery Safety: Ensure safe handling, storage, and transportation of EV batteries in compliance with regulatory requirements, including fire safety, chemical handling, and environmental best practices.
- Accident & Incident Investigation: Investigate workplace accidents, near misses, and incidents, specifically those related to EV transportation, battery handling, or logistics operations. Document findings and recommend preventive measures.
- Training & Awareness: Assist in creating and conducting HSE training programs for employees, drivers, warehouse staff, and maintenance teams on topics such as EV safety, battery handling, emergency response, and safe driving practices.
- Compliance with Regulations: Ensure all operations are compliant with local, regional, and international HSE laws, specifically in the context of EV logistics and environmental sustainability.
- Emergency Response Planning: Assist in developing and maintaining emergency response plans for incidents involving EVs, such as fire or hazardous material spills, and conduct regular drills to ensure readiness.
- Sustainability Initiatives: Support the company's environmental sustainability initiatives, including waste management, carbon footprint reduction, and the responsible disposal/recycling of EV batteries and components.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, audits, training, incident reports, and compliance documentation. Prepare regular reports for management and regulatory bodies.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with other departments, including operations, transportation, and warehouse teams, to ensure that HSE practices are effectively integrated into day-to-day logistics activities.
