Role: Solar Installation Technician

Job Summary:
The Solar Installation Technician will be responsible for the installation, wiring, testing, and commissioning of rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. The role requires hands-on technical skills, an understanding of electrical safety, and the ability to work efficiently onsite under supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Install solar PV modules, mounting structures, inverters, and related electrical components.
- Carry out DC and AC wiring as per design and safety standards.
- Assist in testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of solar systems.
- Ensure proper cable management, earthing, and structural alignment during installation.
- Follow project drawings and technical instructions provided by the Project Engineer.
- Coordinate with site supervisors and electricians for smooth project execution.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work area in good condition.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and quality standards on site.
- Prepare basic site reports and provide feedback to the project team.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Knowledge of rooftop solar system installation and electrical connections.
- Basic understanding of single-phase and three-phase wiring.
- Ability to use hand tools and electrical measuring instruments.
- Physically fit and comfortable working at heights.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Qualifications
- ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or related field (preferred).
- 1–3 years of experience in solar installation or electrical work (freshers with training can also apply).
- Knowledge of MNRE / DISCOM standards is an added advantage.
Work Conditions
- 6-day work week; field-based role involving site visits.
- Travel may be required to project locations.
- Must be comfortable working outdoors and on rooftops.
- Must have your own bike for travel.
- The company will cover the bike expenses.
Pay: ₹10,648.25 - ₹17,673.67 per month
