Job Overview
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Content Writer & SEO Executive who can write high-quality news articles while improving our website's organic search rankings. The ideal candidate should understand Google's SEO best practices, keyword research, on-page optimization, and digital publishing.
Responsibilities
- Write 5–10 original, well-researched news articles daily.
- Cover Surat, Gujarat, national, and international news.
- Optimize articles for Google Search using SEO best practices.
- Perform keyword research and identify trending search topics.
- Write engaging SEO-friendly headlines and meta descriptions.
- Update existing articles to improve rankings.
- Build internal linking between related articles.
- Optimize images with alt text and proper file naming.
- Monitor Google Search Console and Google Analytics.
- Track keyword rankings and organic traffic growth.
- Ensure all content is original, factual, and plagiarism-free.
- Work with editors to publish breaking news quickly.
- Follow Google Discover, News SEO, and EEAT guidelines.
Required Skills
- Excellent English writing skills (Gujarati/Hindi is a plus).
- Strong knowledge of SEO and on-page optimization.
- Experience with Google Search Console and Google Analytics.
- Knowledge of keyword research tools (Ahrefs, Semrush, or similar).
- Familiarity with Google Trends.
- Basic HTML and image optimization knowledge.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced newsroom.
- Strong fact-checking and research skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in digital journalism, blogging, or SEO.
- Experience writing finance, business, technology, education, jobs, or local news.
- Understanding of Google News and Google Discover optimization.
- Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT for research while maintaining human-written quality.
