Job Summary:
The Physical Education Teacher is responsible for promoting physical fitness, sportsmanship, and overall well-being of students in a residential school environment. The role includes planning and conducting physical education classes, coaching sports, supervising student activities, and supporting the healthy lifestyle and discipline of residential students
.Key Responsibilities 1. Teaching & TrainingPlan and conduct structured Physical Education classes as per curriculum.Teach physical fitness, sports skills, teamwork, and healthy lifestyle habits.Train students in indoor and outdoor games, athletics, and physical activities.Prepare students for inter-school competitions, sports meets, and tournaments.
2. Student Fitness & DevelopmentMonitor and assess students’ physical fitness and progress.Develop individualized fitness plans when required.Encourage participation of all students in physical activities.Promote discipline, teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship.
3. Residential School SupervisionSupervise students during morning exercises, evening games, and recreational activities.Ensure student safety during sports and physical training sessions.Support hostel routines related to physical wellness and active lifestyle.
4. Sports Events & ActivitiesOrganize sports events, annual sports day, and competitions.Maintain sports schedules and activity plans.Coordinate with school management for tournaments and external participation.
5. Equipment & Facility ManagementMaintain sports equipment, playgrounds, and fitness facilities.Ensure safe usage of equipment and report maintenance needs.Keep inventory and records of sports materials.
6. Health & SafetyEnsure adherence to safety standards during all physical activities.Provide basic first aid during injuries or emergencies.Promote awareness of nutrition, hygiene, and injury prevention.
7. Administrative DutiesMaintain records of attendance, performance, and sports participation.Prepare reports related to student fitness and activities.Coordinate with teachers, hostel wardens, and parents regarding student development.
Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed) or equivalent qualification.Strong knowledge of sports training and fitness techniques.Ability to motivate and manage students in a residential setting.Good communication and leadership skills.Knowledge of safety practices and basic first aid.
Preferred QualificationsExperience working in a residential school.Coaching certification in specific sports.Ability to organize large sports events and competion.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
