Position: Medical Transcriptionist – Radiology

Key Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe and format radiology reports dictated by Radiologists.
- Prepare reports related to X-Ray, CT Scan, MRI, Ultrasound, Mammography and other radiological investigations.
- Ensure correct patient identification, investigation details and report information before finalization.
- Review and proofread reports for spelling, grammar, punctuation, formatting and medical terminology.
- Maintain accurate knowledge of radiology terminology, anatomy, pathology and common medical abbreviations.
- Clarify unclear or incomplete dictations with the concerned Radiologist without altering the clinical meaning of the report.
- Enter and update reports in RIS/HIS/EMR/PACS or other hospital reporting systems, as applicable.
- Ensure reports are completed and submitted within the defined departmental Turnaround Time (TAT).
- Maintain confidentiality and security of patient information and medical records.
- Coordinate effectively with Radiologists, Radiology Technologists and other concerned departments.
- Identify and rectify typographical or documentation errors before submission for approval.
- Maintain proper electronic and physical records as required.
- Follow hospital policies, departmental SOPs, documentation standards and quality requirements.
- Support internal quality audits and maintain required accuracy and productivity standards.
- Perform other duties related to the department as assigned by the reporting manager.
Qualification
- Graduate in any discipline preferred.
- Certification/Diploma in Medical Transcription will be an added advantage.
- Candidates with relevant experience in hospital or diagnostic-centre transcription are preferred.
Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in Medical Transcription, preferably in a Radiology Department.
- Freshers with good typing skills and knowledge of medical terminology may also be considered.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of Radiology and Medical Terminology.
- Excellent English typing, spelling and grammar skills.
- Good listening and comprehension ability.
- High typing accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good knowledge of MS Office and computer applications.
- Familiarity with RIS/PACS/EMR/HIS is preferred.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet report turnaround times.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Strong commitment to patient confidentiality.
- Ability to handle multiple reports efficiently.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
