The Computer Software Trainer is responsible for delivering high-quality training on computer software applications, ensuring that students develop practical skills and industry-relevant knowledge. The trainer will conduct theoretical and practical sessions, assess student performance, and support learners in achieving successful career outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver classroom and practical training on computer software applications.
- Teach software such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), Internet applications, email, cloud tools, and other relevant software.
- Train students in operating systems, file management, and basic computer troubleshooting.
- Develop lesson plans, training materials, assignments, and practical exercises.
- Conduct assessments, quizzes, practical evaluations, and maintain student performance records.
- Provide individual guidance and mentoring to students to improve their technical skills.
- Ensure effective use of computer labs and maintain discipline during training sessions.
- Stay updated with the latest software technologies and incorporate them into the training curriculum.
- Prepare students for industry certifications and employment opportunities.
- Coordinate with the Academic and Training departments regarding course delivery and student progress.
- Maintain attendance records, training reports, and documentation.
- Support placement activities by conducting mock interviews, resume-building sessions, and employability skill development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications, or a related field (BCA/B.Sc. IT/B.Tech/B.E./MCA preferred).
- Relevant certifications in Microsoft Office, Computer Applications, or other software technologies are desirable.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems and internet applications.
- Knowledge of Google Workspace and cloud-based productivity tools.
- Basic understanding of database concepts and computer networking.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and classroom management skills.
- Ability to simplify technical concepts for learners with varying skill levels.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Experience
- 0–2 years: Freshers with strong technical knowledge and teaching aptitude may apply.
- 2–5 years: Experience in computer software training, vocational education, or corporate training is preferred.
