About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate financial records. The ideal candidate should have 1–4 years of accounting experience, possess a strong understanding of basic accounting principles, and be proficient in Tally. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a growing organization in the environmental services and waste management sector, supporting end-to-end accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Maintain day-to-day accounting entries in Tally Prime/Tally ERP.
- Record sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and journal entries accurately.
- Maintain ledgers, cash book, and general accounting records.
- Ensure proper bookkeeping and compliance with company accounting procedures.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Process vendor invoices and customer payments.
- Prepare payment vouchers and maintain vendor records.
- Reconcile customer and supplier accounts.
- Follow up on outstanding receivables when required.
Bank & Financial Reconciliation
- Perform regular bank reconciliations.
- Reconcile ledger balances and identify discrepancies.
- Assist in preparing monthly financial reports.
GST & Compliance Support
- Maintain GST records and assist in GST return preparation.
- Organize invoices, vouchers, and statutory documents.
- Support auditors during internal and statutory audits.
Administrative & MIS Support
- Prepare basic MIS reports and accounting summaries.
- Coordinate with internal departments regarding financial documentation.
- Assist during month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Perform other accounting and administrative tasks assigned by management.
Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or a related field.
- 1–4 years of experience in accounting.
- Good knowledge of basic accounting principles.
- Hands-on experience with Tally Prime/Tally ERP.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
- Basic understanding of GST and bank reconciliation.
- Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Good organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently.
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Sion, Mumbai, Maharashtra: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
