Job Title: Resident Medical Officer (RMO) – Gynaecology
Department: Gynaecology & Obstetrics
Reporting To: Consultant – Gynaecology / Medical Superintendent

Job Purpose
To provide timely and quality medical care to patients in the Gynaecology department, assist consultants in patient management, and ensure proper monitoring, documentation, and coordination of clinical care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial assessment and examination of patients under the Gynaecology department.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and clinical condition regularly.
- Assist Consultants in OPD, IPD, emergency cases, procedures, and surgeries.
- Attend to gynaecological emergencies and provide immediate medical management as per hospital protocols.
- Take detailed patient history and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
- Prepare and update patient case sheets, progress notes, treatment charts, and discharge summaries.
- Implement treatment plans prescribed by Consultants.
- Coordinate with Nursing, Laboratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, and other departments for patient care.
- Monitor investigations and report abnormal findings promptly to the concerned Consultant.
- Assist in pre-operative and post-operative patient care.
- Ensure proper handover of patients and pending clinical responsibilities during shift changes.
- Respond promptly to calls from nursing staff regarding changes in patient condition.
- Maintain patient safety, confidentiality, and professional standards at all times.
- Follow hospital policies, clinical protocols, infection-control practices, and applicable quality standards.
- Participate in clinical rounds, meetings, training programs, and other departmental activities.
- Maintain proper records and documentation as required by the hospital.
Required Qualifications
- MBBS from a recognized medical institution.
- Valid registration with the respective State Medical Council / National Medical Commission (NMC).
- Previous experience in Gynaecology/Obstetrics or hospital RMO duties will be preferred.

Working Conditions
- Full-time rotational duty.
- Willingness to work day/night shifts, weekends, and holidays as per the duty roster.
- Must be available for emergency patient care whenever assigned.
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
