A Floor Manager (Service) in a TVS two-wheeler showroom plays a crucial role in managing the service department's daily operations. Their duties and responsibilities typically include:
Supervising Service Staff: Overseeing the service advisors, technicians, and other service department staff, ensuring they are working efficiently and adhering to quality standards.
Customer Interaction: Engaging with customers who bring in their vehicles for service, addressing their concerns, and ensuring they understand the service process and timeline.
Service Scheduling: Managing the daily service schedule to ensure timely repairs and maintenance, minimizing wait times, and optimizing the workload for technicians.
Quality Control: Conducting post-service inspections to ensure that vehicles are properly repaired and meet safety and performance standards before being returned to customers.
Team Coordination: Facilitating communication between the service team, spare parts department, and the front office to ensure smooth workflow and availability of required parts.
Customer Complaint Resolution: Handling escalated customer complaints regarding service issues and working to resolve them quickly and satisfactorily.
Reporting and Documentation: Preparing daily service reports, including the number of vehicles serviced, issues encountered, and customer feedback. Keeping records of services provided, customer information, and warranty claims.
Inventory Management: Ensuring that necessary spare parts are available for scheduled services and coordinating with the spare parts team for timely procurement of any additional parts.
Customer Follow-Up: Ensuring follow-up calls or messages are made to customers after their vehicles have been serviced to check on their satisfaction and build strong relationships.
