1. Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Maintain and monitor all accounting records (sales, purchases, receipts, payments).
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
- Ensure timely closing of accounts and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Reconcile bank statements and inter-branch accounts.
2. Accounts Receivable & Payable
- Supervise customer and vendor accounts.
- Monitor vehicle and spare parts sales collections.
- Follow up on outstanding payments from customers and dealers.
- Verify supplier invoices and ensure timely payments.
3. Taxation & Compliance
- Handle GST, TDS, and other statutory returns and payments.
- Ensure compliance with government regulations and audit requirements.
- Support external auditors during audits.
4. Inventory & Cost Control
- Monitor inventory of vehicles, spare parts, and consumables.
- Verify stock valuation and ensure proper costing methods.
- Work closely with the parts and service departments to manage inventory accounting.
5. Payroll & Expense Management
- Prepare monthly payroll, statutory deductions, and related reports.
- Oversee expense claims, petty cash, and reimbursements.
- Analyze departmental expenses and suggest cost control measures.
6. Budgeting & Financial Analysis
- Assist management in preparing budgets and forecasts.
- Analyze financial performance vs. targets.
- Provide insights for profitability improvement and cost reduction.
7. Coordination & Supervision
- Coordinate with showroom, service, and spare parts departments for accounting entries.
- Supervise junior accountants and ensure proper documentation and approvals.
- Liaise with banks, auditors, and other external stakeholders.
8. System & Process Improvement
- Maintain accounting software and ensure accurate data entry.
- Recommend process improvements for efficiency and transparency.
