Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie (CDP) to manage a designated section of the kitchen and ensure the consistent preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes. The ideal candidate should possess strong culinary skills, maintain excellent hygiene standards, and be capable of supervising junior kitchen staff while supporting smooth kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the assigned kitchen section efficiently.
- Prepare, cook, and present food according to standard recipes and quality standards.
- Ensure consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation.
- Supervise and guide Commis Chefs and Demi Chef de Parties.
- Maintain proper mise en place before service.
- Monitor stock levels and raise requisitions as required.
- Minimize food wastage and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
- Coordinate effectively with the Sous Chef and other kitchen team members.
- Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of kitchen equipment and work areas.
- Assist in menu planning and the development of new dishes whenever required.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a hotel, resort, or fine-dining restaurant, including experience as a DCDP or CDP.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, kitchen operations, and food safety practices.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Good leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
