Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage the company's accounting operations, financial reporting, statutory compliance, taxation, and cost accounting functions. The ideal candidate should have 10 years of experience in a manufacturing industry and possess strong knowledge of accounting standards, GST, TDS, audits, and ERP systems. A Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is preferred.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Accounting
- Maintain accurate books of accounts in compliance with accounting standards.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Monitor general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Manage fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules.
Manufacturing & Cost Accounting
- Monitor production costing and inventory valuation.
- Analyze material consumption, production costs, and manufacturing variances.
- Coordinate with production, stores, and procurement departments for cost control.
- Prepare cost reports and MIS for management review.
Taxation & Statutory Compliance
- Ensure timely filing of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory returns.
- Reconcile GST, TDS, and tax ledgers.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and government authorities.
- Ensure compliance with applicable financial and statutory regulations.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Oversee vendor payments and customer receivables.
- Monitor outstanding balances and improve cash flow.
- Verify invoices, purchase orders, and payment approvals.
Budgeting & MIS
- Assist in annual budgeting and financial forecasting.
- Prepare monthly MIS reports, profitability analysis, and cash flow statements.
- Analyze financial performance and recommend improvements.
Audit & Internal Controls
- Coordinate internal, statutory, cost, and tax audits.
- Strengthen internal financial controls and accounting procedures.
- Ensure proper documentation and record management.
ERP & Process Improvement
- Work on ERP systems for finance and inventory modules.
- Recommend automation and process improvements for finance operations.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred; alternatively M.Com, MBA (Finance)
- Experience: Minimum 10 years in Finance & Accounts, preferably in a manufacturing industry.
- Experience in paper, steel, engineering, FMCG, or process manufacturing industries will be an added advantage.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Accounting Standards and financial reporting.
- Excellent knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliance.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems Tally Prime, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or Data Man or similar).
- Strong understanding of manufacturing costing and inventory accounting.
- Advanced MS Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, financial analysis).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to lead a team and coordinate across departments.

Preferred Candidate Profile
- CA qualification preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of manufacturing accounting experience.
- Proven experience in handling audits, taxation, costing, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage an accounts team and work effectively with cross-functional departments.
