Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair fiber optic cable systems.
- Splice fiber optic cables efficiently and accurately.
- Conduct tests on fiber optic networks using specialized equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with fiber optic cables.
- Collaborate with other team members to plan and execute fiber installation projects.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Document and report installation and maintenance activities.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification in Fiber Optic Technology or related field is preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in fiber splicing or related field.
- Proven experience with fiber optic tools and equipment.
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to various job sites.
Skills
- Proficiency in using fiber optic splicing tools and equipment.
- Strong understanding of fiber optic networks and systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and precision in splicing and testing.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Basic computer skills for documenting work activities.
