We are seeking a Cloud Migration Engineer experienced in AWS Application Migration Service (MGN) and Terraform to plan, automate, and execute infrastructure and workload migrations to AWS. The ideal candidate will design repeatable migration patterns, implement infrastructure as code, and collaborate with application and operations teams to ensure secure, reliable, and low-risk cutovers.
Responsibilities
- Lead assessment, planning, and execution of server and application migrations using AWS MGN.
- Design, develop, and maintain Terraform configurations, modules, and state management for production infrastructure.
- Coordinate migration cutovers, validation, rollback procedures, and runbooks to minimize downtime and business impact.
- Automate migration workflows and validation using scripting and CI/CD pipelines.
- Implement secure networking, identity, and access controls for migrated environments.
- Collaborate with application owners to validate compatibility, performance, and operational readiness.
- Document architectures, migration plans, and post-migration validation steps.
- Troubleshoot migration and infrastructure issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement remediation.
Qualifications
- Proven hands-on experience with AWS Application Migration Service (MGN) or equivalent migration tooling.
- Practical experience authoring and maintaining Terraform for multi-environment deployments.
- Strong understanding of AWS core services including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, and CloudWatch.
- Experience scripting with Python, Bash, or PowerShell to automate tasks and build validation tooling.
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows Server administration and troubleshooting.
- Experience integrating infrastructure changes into CI/CD pipelines and using pipeline tools for automation.
- Excellent communication skills and a track record of working effectively with cross-functional technical teams.
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate are a plus.
