An Interior Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day execution of interior projects on-site, ensuring that work is completed according to approved drawings, quality standards, safety regulations, project timelines, and budget. The Site Supervisor acts as the bridge between the design office, contractors, vendors, and clients to ensure smooth project execution.
Interior Site Supervisor – Job Roles & Responsibilities
1. Site Execution
- Supervise daily interior work at the project site.
- Ensure execution follows approved drawings and specifications.
- Monitor civil, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, false ceiling, flooring, and finishing works.
- Verify workmanship meets company quality standards.
- Resolve minor site issues immediately.
2. Daily Site Planning
- Prepare daily work schedules.
- Allocate work to contractors and labor teams.
- Plan manpower requirements.
- Coordinate activities to avoid delays and conflicts.
- Ensure efficient use of available resources.
3. Drawing Implementation
- Study all approved drawings before execution.
- Explain drawings to contractors and workers.
- Ensure dimensions are followed accurately.
- Report any drawing discrepancies to the design team before execution.
4. Contractor & Labour Management
- Supervise contractors and subcontractors.
- Monitor worker productivity and discipline.
- Ensure sufficient manpower is available.
- Verify attendance and work progress.
- Resolve conflicts among site teams professionally.
5. Material Management
- Check delivered materials for quantity and quality.
- Verify materials against purchase orders.
- Prevent wastage through proper storage and handling.
- Maintain material stock records.
- Inform the procurement team about upcoming material requirements.
6. Quality Control
- Inspect work at every stage before approval.
- Ensure alignment, level, finishing, and installation quality.
- Conduct checklist-based inspections.
- Identify defects and arrange corrective action.
- Ensure work complies with company SOPs.
7. Site Safety
- Enforce safety rules and use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Report unsafe conditions immediately.
- Ensure safe handling of tools and materials.
- Prevent accidents through regular safety monitoring.
8. Client Coordination
- Meet clients during scheduled site visits.
- Explain site progress professionally.
- Record client feedback and communicate it to the project team.
- Assist in implementing approved client changes.
9. Vendor Coordination
- Coordinate with:
- Modular furniture suppliers
- Marble and tile vendors
- Electricians
- Plumbers
- False ceiling contractors
- Glass vendors
- Fabricators
- Painters
- HVAC contractors
- Ensure vendors complete work as per the project schedule.
10. Progress Monitoring
- Track daily and weekly progress.
- Compare actual work against the project schedule.
- Report delays and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain milestone completion records.

- Check extra work before approval.
13. Handover Process
- Prepare snag lists before project completion.
- Ensure all defects are rectified.
- Verify final cleaning and finishing.
- Assist in final client walkthrough.
- Support smooth project handover.
