Job Description: Attending Consultant- NICU
BU: Max Hospital, Shalimar Bagh Delhi
Reporting to: HOD Pediatrics- NICU
Overall Objective: To assist Pediatric Department to deliver high quality neonatal intensive care in the hospital.
Responsibilities and Key Tasks
- To effectively interface with patients/ attendants/ physicians and
- deliver high quality intensive care with compassion and high level
- of responsiveness.
- Post doctoral Fellows in Neonatology, recognized by Medical
- Council of India, with excellent theoretical knowledge in the
- management of critically sick newborns and preterm babies.
- Excellent practical experience in the field of Neonatology, experts
- at handling and stabilization of critically sick neonates requiring
- tertiary care in the form of ventilation, central line placement,
- organ dysfunction management etc.
- Involved in academic activities, CME’s and research aimed at
- improving the standards of care in NICU.
- Involved in overall improvement of the functioning of the NICU in the form of
- teaching of the nursing staff, senior residents and other staffs.
- To attend to sick babies in shortest possible time.
- To take decisions on patient management urgently.
- To get the admission procedure, record management and
- discharge formalities done on time.
- To participate in programs for quality improvement in PICU practices.
- To follow infection control policies and biomedical waste management guidelines the hospital.
- To collaborate with other disciplines to ensure effective and
- efficient intensive care.
- To ensure proper stock management.
- To be well groomed, punctual & adhere to company policies.
- To have complete orientation of QMS and EMS system of Hospital.
- To have complete Awareness about Disaster Management Programme (DMP) of the hospital.
- To Comply with the service quality Process, environmental & occupational issues & policies of the respective area
- To Comply with patient safety policy
- To ensure safe utilization of equipments and proper waste disposal system.
