We are seeking an experienced and result oriented Head – Sales & Business Development to lead our sales function for food products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, building strong distribution networks, and developing key customer relationships across retail, modern trade, and institutional channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
- Build and manage distributor, dealer, and super stockist networks.
- Expand business in General Trade, Modern Trade, E-commerce, and Institutional sales.
- Identify new market opportunities and launch products successfully.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve performance targets.
- Develop sales forecasts, budgets, and territory-wise business plans.
- Build strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and channel partners.
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and market trends.
- Coordinate with Production, Supply Chain, and Marketing teams to ensure product availability and successful promotions.
- Ensure timely collections and maintain healthy receivables.
- Prepare and present monthly sales performance reports to management.
- Participate in exhibitions, trade fairs, and customer engagement programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Food Technology, or a related field.
- MBA in Sales & Marketing is preferred.
Experience
- 3- 5 years of experience in FMCG/Food Products sales.
- Experience in handling fresh, chilled, or packaged food products is an added advantage.
Required Skills

- Strong analytical and business planning skills.
- Ability to drive sales growth and achieve ambitious targets.
- Knowledge of the South Indian FMCG/Food market is preferred.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
