Position Overview:
This role involves leading the development of nutrition-driven food and beverage products from concept to commercialization. The position requires strong expertise in human nutrition, formulation science, and food regulatory frameworks. The candidate will be responsible for developing scientifically validated, nutrition-optimized, and market-competitive products, while also collaborating with clients on ingredient evaluation, regulatory compliance, and health-related implications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead development of nutrition-focused food and beverage products from ideation to commercialization.
- Design and optimize formulations based on macronutrient and micronutrient requirements aligned with health outcomes.
- Translate nutritional and clinical requirements into practical product formulations.
- Conduct nutrient profiling, caloric calculations, and dietary suitability assessments.
- Ensure compliance with FSSAI, FDA, USFDA, and other applicable global food regulations.
- Develop nutrition facts panels, permissible health claims, and regulatory documentation.
- Evaluate ingredients provided by clients and provide scientific guidance on nutritional suitability, safety, and potential health implications.
- Collaborate with clients to clarify ingredient functionality, regulatory compliance, and possible health-related risks or benefits.
- Support formulation trials, stability assessments, and product validation studies.
- Collaborate with R&D, culinary, and manufacturing teams for product scaling and implementation.
- Monitor global nutrition trends, regulatory updates, and emerging health science relevant to product innovation.
Qualifications (Strict Requirement):
- Master’s or Ph.D. only in Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition, Dietetics, or Human Nutrition Sciences
- Candidates from Food Science / Food Technology background without formal nutrition specialization will not be considered
Must-Have Experience:
- 3–6 years in nutrition-based product development, clinical nutrition, or functional food formulation
- Strong working knowledge of FSSAI, FDA and/or USFDA regulations, especially labeling and health claims
- Experience in formulation, nutritional evaluation, or regulatory nutrition compliance
Responsibility & Decision-Making Authority:
- Responsible for defining nutritional direction, formulation validation, and regulatory interpretation of products
- Acts as scientific point of contact for nutrition and compliance-related client discussions
Travel:
- As required for client meetings, product trials, or regulatory coordination
Remuneration:
- Competitive and commensurate with expertise. Higher compensation for strong regulatory and formulation capability
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹380,000.00 - ₹480,000.00 per year
