The company operates an integrated manufacturing facility with in-house design, production, and quality processes, supplying high-quality electrical products through an expanding dealer and distributor network across India.
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead our manufacturing operations for modular switches and electrical accessories. The candidate will be responsible for achieving daily production targets, improving productivity, maintaining product quality, optimizing manufacturing costs, and leading production teams while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and statutory requirements.
The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership abilities, hands-on manufacturing experience, and a continuous improvement mindset.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Management
- Plan, organize, and monitor daily production activities to achieve production targets.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machines, and materials.
- Improve plant productivity, efficiency, and manufacturing output.
- Monitor production schedules and ensure on-time delivery commitments.
- Reduce production losses, rejections, and downtime through continuous improvement initiatives.
Team Leadership
- Lead, motivate, and develop production supervisors and shop-floor employees.
- Manage workforce planning, shift scheduling, and manpower allocation.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and skill development activities.
- Build a culture of discipline, accountability, teamwork, and safety.
Quality Management
- Ensure compliance with established Quality Management Systems.
- Coordinate with the Quality department to minimize customer complaints and internal defects.
- Drive root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Ensure adherence to product specifications and manufacturing standards.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity and reduce manufacturing costs.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement initiatives.
- Optimize machine utilization and production cycle times.
Planning & Coordination
- Coordinate with Planning, Purchase, Stores, Maintenance, and Dispatch departments.
- Ensure uninterrupted production through effective material planning.
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and consumables.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all plant safety standards and statutory regulations.
- Promote safe work practices across all production areas.
- Maintain housekeeping standards and support workplace audits.
Reporting & MIS
- Prepare and monitoer daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
- Develop and maintain production dashboards using MS Excel.
- Present production performance and improvement plans to senior management using PowerPoint.
Required Skills
- Strong team management and leadership skills.
- Thorough knowledge of manufacturing processes in electrical products, modular switches, plastics, or allied industries.
- Good understanding of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001, 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, CAPA, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, MS Office, and production dashboards/MIS.
- Ability to manage production under pressure while maintaining quality and delivery commitments.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Production Engineering / Industrial Engineering.
- Diploma with relevant experience may also be considered.
- Additional certifications in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Quality Systems will be an added advantage.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- 10–15 years of experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in modular switches, electrical accessories, switchgear, plastics, or consumer electrical products.
- Proven experience in leading production teams and achieving manufacturing targets.
- Strong knowledge of production planning, quality systems, and process improvement.
- Knowledge of Marathi and Hindi is mandatory.
- Willingness to work at a remote manufacturing location.
- Ready to relocate to Village Ghatdare, Taluka Khandala, District Satara.
Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
