BrainoidTech is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Junior Android Developer to join our mobile application development team. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing Android applications using Kotlin while working closely with UI/UX designers, backend developers, and project managers.
This role is ideal for candidates who have a strong foundation in Android development and are eager to learn, grow, and contribute to real-world mobile applications.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain Android applications using Kotlin.
- Convert UI/UX designs and wireframes into clean, functional, and responsive mobile interfaces.
- Integrate Android applications with REST APIs and backend services.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following Android best practices.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues and performance bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with designers, developers, and project stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development processes.
- Ensure application compatibility across different Android devices and OS versions.
- Stay updated with the latest Android development trends, tools, and technologies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Good knowledge of Kotlin and Android application development.
- Understanding of Android SDK and Android Studio.
- Familiarity with Android UI development and Material Design principles.
- Knowledge of Activities, Fragments, Intents, Services, and Android lifecycle concepts.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and JSON data handling.
- Basic knowledge of local storage options such as Shared Preferences, SQLite, or Room Database.
- Understanding of version control systems, preferably Git.
- Familiarity with debugging and testing Android applications.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of MVVM architecture and Android Jetpack components.
- Experience with Firebase services such as Authentication, Firestore, Analytics, or Push Notifications.
- Understanding of Coroutines and asynchronous programming.
- Familiarity with dependency injection frameworks such as Hilt or Dagger.
- Exposure to Google Play Store deployment processes.
- Knowledge of CI/CD concepts and tools.
