Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Nursing In-Charge to oversee nursing operations, ensure high-quality patient care, and lead a team of nursing professionals. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to maintain nursing standards while fostering a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily nursing activities and patient care services.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, nursing standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and manage nursing staff duty rosters and shift assignments.
- Monitor patient care quality and ensure timely nursing interventions.
- Guide, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff performance.
- Coordinate with physicians, allied health professionals, and other departments for effective patient care.
- Ensure accurate and complete nursing documentation and records.
- Monitor inventory and availability of medical supplies, medications, and equipment.
- Implement infection prevention and patient safety protocols.
- Handle patient and family concerns professionally and efficiently.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and accreditation activities.
- Conduct staff training, orientation, and competency assessments.
Requirements
- B.Sc. Nursing (Required); M.Sc. Nursing preferred.
- Valid Registered Nurse license.
- Minimum 3–5 years of clinical nursing experience.
- At least 1–2 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a hospital setting.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of NABH standards and healthcare quality practices preferred.
- Proficiency in nursing documentation and hospital information systems.
