We are looking for a passionate Hardware & Embedded Systems Intern to join our engineering team and help bring these products to life.
Role OverviewAs a Hardware & Embedded Systems Intern, you will work alongside our engineering team on real-world automotive and IoT projects. You will assist in designing, testing, integrating, and troubleshooting hardware devices used in commercial trucking, including GPS trackers, AI dash cameras, Android tablets, embedded electronics, and vehicle communication systems.This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in embedded systems, automotive electronics, IoT, and intelligent transportation technologies.
Key ResponsibilitiesHardware Development
- Assist in the design and development of PCB prototypes.
- Support PCB testing, debugging, and validation.
- Help select electronic components and prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Assemble and test prototype hardware.
GPS & Telematics
- Configure and troubleshoot GPS tracking devices.
- Test GPS accuracy, connectivity, and communication.
- Assist with CAN Bus, OBD-II, and vehicle diagnostic integrations.
- Validate hardware communication with the TechTruckers platform.
AI Dash Camera & Android Systems
- Assist with AI dash camera integration and testing.
- Configure Android-based tablets and in-cab devices.
- Test camera recording, live streaming, and connectivity.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software integration issues.
Embedded Systems
- Support microcontroller-based development (ESP32, STM32, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or similar).
- Assist in firmware flashing and testing.
- Work with sensors and IoT communication modules.
Networking & System Configuration
- Configure local hardware devices and networking components.
- Assist with Linux/Windows system setup where required.
- Perform basic server configuration and troubleshooting.
- Help manage test environments and connected devices.
Testing & Documentation
- Execute hardware testing and maintain test reports.
- Document hardware configurations, wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Assist in preparing technical documentation.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of electronics and embedded systems.
- Knowledge of PCB design tools (KiCad, Altium, EasyEDA, Eagle, or similar).
- Understanding of electronic components and circuit diagrams.
- Familiarity with GPS tracking devices and IoT concepts.
- Basic knowledge of Android devices and hardware configuration.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals.
- Basic computer hardware troubleshooting skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to learn new technologies.
