About the Role
BOG Trading Pvt Ltd is looking for a data-driven and business-oriented Business Analyst / Business Analytics professional who can transform raw business data into meaningful insights and actionable recommendations.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in SQL, MS Excel, Power BI, and Tableau, along with the ability to understand business requirements, analyze data, prepare dashboards, identify trends, and provide insights that support effective business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, validate, and analyze business data from multiple sources.
- Develop and maintain MIS reports, dashboards, and business performance reports.
- Use SQL to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from databases.
- Perform advanced data analysis using MS Excel, including Pivot Tables, Lookup functions, formulas, data validation, and reporting tools.
- Design interactive and management-friendly dashboards using Power BI and/or Tableau.
- Convert complex datasets into clear and meaningful visualizations.
- Identify business trends, patterns, gaps, and opportunities through data analysis.
- Generate powerful business insights based on business acumen and data interpretation.
- Work closely with management and business teams to understand reporting requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
- Monitor key business KPIs and prepare periodic performance reports.
- Conduct variance, trend, profitability, sales, customer, operational, and other relevant business analyses.
- Provide data-backed recommendations to improve business performance and operational efficiency.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of reports and dashboards.
- Automate recurring reports and improve existing reporting processes wherever possible.
- Present analytical findings and recommendations to management in a simple and effective manner.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Commerce, Economics, Computer Science, Management, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in Business Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Analysis, MIS, or a similar role.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- SQL
- MS Excel
- Power BI
- Tableau
- Strong understanding of data handling, data cleaning, analysis, and visualization.
- Experience in developing interactive dashboards and management reports.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good understanding of business KPIs and performance metrics.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to convert data into actionable business insights.
- Ability to communicate complex analytical findings in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in reporting automation and dashboard optimization.
- Knowledge of data modeling and database concepts.
- Experience working with large datasets.
- Understanding of Power BI data modeling and DAX will be an advantage.
- Experience in business performance, sales, finance, operations, or commercial analytics will be preferred.
