Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled MIG Welder to join our fabrication team. The candidate will be responsible for performing MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding on MS steel and other metal components, ensuring high-quality welds as per engineering drawings and production requirements. The role involves fabrication, assembly, inspection, and adherence to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on MS steel structures, components, and assemblies.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
- Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, cleaning, and aligning metal parts before welding.
- Set up and operate MIG welding equipment and related fabrication tools.
- Ensure weld quality, strength, and dimensional accuracy as per specifications.
- Inspect completed welds and rectify defects if required.
- Maintain welding machines, tools, and equipment in good working condition.
- Follow safety procedures and use appropriate PPE while welding.
- Coordinate with supervisors and fabrication teams to meet production targets.
- Keep work area clean and organized.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of MIG welding techniques.
- Ability to read fabrication drawings and measurements.
- Familiarity with welding parameters, gas settings, and metal preparation.
- Experience using grinders, cutting machines, and measuring instruments.
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
- Knowledge of workplace safety practices
