Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Tekla Senior Checker with strong expertise in structural steel detailing and checking. The candidate will be responsible for reviewing Tekla models, drawings, and fabrication deliverables to ensure accuracy, quality, constructability, and compliance with project specifications and AISC standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and check Tekla Structures models for accuracy and completeness.
- Perform detailed checking of GA drawings, fabrication/shop drawings, erection drawings, and assembly drawings.
- Verify dimensions, member sizes, connections, material specifications, and quantities.
- Check models and drawings against structural/engineering drawings and project specifications.
- Ensure compliance with AISC standards and applicable project requirements.
- Identify clashes, modeling errors, detailing issues, and discrepancies.
- Coordinate with Tekla Modelers, Detailers, Engineers, and Project Managers to resolve technical issues.
- Review connection details and ensure proper constructability and fabrication requirements.
- Provide clear feedback and corrections to modelers/detailers.
- Conduct final quality checks before project submission.
- Support the team in maintaining quality standards, checking procedures, and project timelines.
- Handle multiple projects and prioritize work according to deadlines.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Tekla Structures.
- Excellent knowledge of structural steel detailing and fabrication.
- Strong understanding of AISC standards.
- Good knowledge of steel connections, members, assemblies, and erection methodology.
- Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and engineering documents.
- Strong knowledge of shop drawings and fabrication requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality-control skills.
- Ability to identify and resolve technical/detailing issues independently.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to lead or guide junior modelers/checkers when required.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working on US structural steel projects.
- Experience with commercial, industrial, or complex steel structures.
- Experience in coordinating with international clients/engineering teams.
- Knowledge of fabrication and erection processes is an added advantage.
Candidate Profile
- 6+ years of relevant experience in Tekla structural steel detailing/checking.
- Strong experience in Tekla checking and quality control.
- Candidates who can independently handle checking responsibilities and coordinate with modeling/detailing teams are preferred.
- Immediate joiners / short notice candidates preferred.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
