Job Overview
Syrus Hospital, Kushalnagar, is looking for an experienced and responsible Pharmacy In-Charge to oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensure accurate medication management, and coordinate pharmacy activities with clinical and administrative departments.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in hospital pharmacy operations, inventory management, prescription processing, team supervision, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the hospital pharmacy.
- Supervise and coordinate pharmacy staff and daily work allocation.
- Ensure accurate dispensing of medicines as per authorized prescriptions.
- Monitor pharmacy inventory, stock levels, and medicine availability.
- Maintain proper records of medicines, stock movements, purchases, and issues.
- Monitor expiry dates, near-expiry medicines, and batch details.
- Coordinate timely procurement and replenishment of medicines and pharmacy supplies.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of medicines as per applicable requirements.
- Monitor billing, dispensing, and inventory entries for accuracy.
- Coordinate with doctors, nursing staff, stores, purchase, accounts, and administration.
- Ensure appropriate documentation and maintenance of pharmacy records.
- Monitor controlled and restricted medicines as per applicable regulations and hospital procedures.
- Conduct regular stock verification and reconciliation.
- Identify stock discrepancies and take corrective action.
- Guide pharmacy staff regarding dispensing procedures and medication safety.
- Support internal audits, quality initiatives, and hospital accreditation requirements.
- Address pharmacy-related patient and departmental concerns promptly.
- Prepare and submit pharmacy reports and operational updates to management.
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies, professional standards, and applicable pharmacy regulations.
Eligibility & Requirements
- B.Pharm / D.Pharm from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration with the applicable Pharmacy Council.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a hospital pharmacy.
- Experience in managing or supervising pharmacy operations will be preferred.
- Good knowledge of hospital pharmacy procedures and inventory management.
- Familiarity with pharmacy software and computer-based inventory systems.
- Strong communication, coordination, and team-management skills.
- Good attention to detail and organizational ability.
