Job Purpose
To manage all accounting, financial transactions, statutory compliance, budgeting, vendor payments, payroll coordination, and financial reporting for the biomass manufacturing plant while ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
Key Roles & Responsibilities1. Financial Accounting
- Maintain books of accounts accurately and on time.
- Record all financial transactions in the ERP/accounting software.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports.
- Reconcile bank accounts, cash, and ledger balances.
- Ensure proper accounting of plant expenses and revenues.
2. Accounts Payable
- Process vendor invoices after verification and approval.
- Ensure timely payments to suppliers, contractors, transporters, and service providers.
- Maintain vendor ledgers and reconcile outstanding balances.
- Monitor advance payments and vendor settlements.
3. Accounts Receivable
- Generate customer invoices.
- Track customer collections and outstanding receivables.
- Coordinate with customers regarding payment follow-ups.
- Maintain customer account reconciliations.
4. Petty Cash Management
- Maintain petty cash as per company policy.
- Verify supporting documents before reimbursement.
- Prepare petty cash reports and reconciliations.
- Ensure proper approval for all petty cash expenses.
5. Payroll & Employee Reimbursements
- Coordinate with HR for salary processing.
- Verify attendance, overtime (if applicable), and deductions.
- Process employee reimbursements such as travel and conveyance after approvals.
- Ensure statutory deductions are correctly calculated.
6. Taxation & Statutory Compliance
- Prepare and file GST returns.
- Manage TDS deductions and return filing.
- Ensure compliance with Income Tax provisions.
- Maintain statutory financial records.
- Support internal and external audits.
7. Budgeting & Cost Control
- Prepare departmental budgets.
- Monitor actual expenses against budget.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Analyze manufacturing costs and operating expenses.
- Prepare monthly cost variance reports.
8. Inventory & Asset Accounting
- Coordinate with stores for inventory reconciliation.
- Verify stock valuation.
- Maintain Fixed Asset Register.
- Calculate depreciation as per accounting standards.
- Monitor asset purchases and disposals.
9. Banking Operations
- Prepare payment requests.
- Process NEFT/RTGS/IMPS transactions.
- Maintain bank reconciliation statements.
- Coordinate with banks regarding financial matters.
10. Financial Reporting
- Prepare:
- Profit & Loss Statement
- Balance Sheet
- Cash Flow Statement
- MIS Reports
- Plant Cost Reports
- Budget vs Actual Analysis
- Present reports to management.
11. Vendor & Contractor Management
- Verify vendor bills against Purchase Orders and Goods Receipt Notes (GRN).
- Coordinate with procurement for invoice verification.
- Ensure timely settlement of contractor bills.
- Resolve payment-related queries.
12. Audit Support
- Coordinate statutory, internal, GST, and tax audits.
- Maintain proper documentation.
- Provide audit schedules and reconciliations.
- Implement audit observations and corrective actions.
13. Internal Controls
- Ensure financial transactions comply with company policies.
- Maintain approval hierarchy.
- Prevent duplicate or unauthorized payments.
- Safeguard company financial records.
14. Biomass Plant Cost Monitoring
- Monitor:
- Biomass procurement cost
- Transportation expenses
- Production cost per ton
- Utility expenses (Power, Diesel, Water)
- Maintenance expenses
- Packaging costs
- Labour costs
- Plant overheads
- Prepare cost analysis reports for management.
15. Documentation & Record Keeping
- Maintain:
- Vendor invoices
- Purchase bills
- Payment vouchers
- GST documents
- Bank documents
- Tax records
- Audit files
- Financial approvals
- Ensure proper filing and document retention.

- Timely vendor payment processing.
- Accurate monthly financial closing.

Educational Qualification
- B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) / CA Inter (Preferred)
Experience
- 3–8 years of experience in manufacturing, biomass, renewable energy, or process industries, with hands-on exposure to plant accounting, taxation, budgeting, and financial reporting.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
