We are seeking a hardworking and skilled Commi to join our culinary team. As a Commi, you will be responsible for a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring that all food preparation and cooking are done to the highest standards. You will work closely under the Chef de Partie and assist in supervising junior commis to ensure a smooth, high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities
- Station Ownership: Take full responsibility for the "Mise en Place" and cleanliness of your assigned station.
- Cooking & Execution: Prepare, cook, and present dishes consistently according to our recipes and portion sizes.
- Stock Management: Monitor stock levels for your station, assist in daily inventory counts, and ensure proper food rotation (FIFO).
- Quality Control: Ensure that all food leaving your station is of the highest quality in terms of taste, temperature, and appearance.
- Kitchen Hygiene: Maintain strict health and safety standards; keep your workstation and equipment sanitized at all times.
- Teamwork: Assist other stations during peak rushes.
Requirements & Skills
- Experience: 2–4 years of experience in a professional kitchen (Cafe, Hotel, or Restaurant).
- Education: A certificate or diploma in Culinary Arts or Hotel Management is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Mastery of basic cooking techniques (grilling, frying, poaching) and excellent knife skills.
- Product Knowledge: Strong understanding of ingredients, spices, and food storage temperatures.
- Attributes: High level of discipline, punctuality, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility: Ability to work shifts, including early mornings, late nights, and holidays.
Pay: ₹17,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
