Job Summary
Metaval is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Executive – Valve Sales, Tenders & Business Development to support the company’s growth across industrial markets. The candidate will be responsible for identifying tender opportunities, preparing bid documentation, handling customer inquiries, generating leads, coordinating quotations, and supporting sales activities for industrial valves and flow control products.The ideal candidate should have a technical understanding of industrial valves and be capable of managing multiple responsibilities across sales, tendering, customer support, and business development.Key ResponsibilitiesTender Management
- Search and monitor relevant tenders daily through GeM, CPPP, PSU portals, EPC procurement portals, and other tender platforms.
- Evaluate tender requirements, technical specifications, and eligibility criteria.
- Prepare and submit technical and commercial bids within deadlines.
- Coordinate with internal teams for documentation, pricing, compliance sheets, and certifications.
- Maintain records of submitted tenders and track bid status.
- Follow up with customers regarding tender clarifications and outcomes.
Sales & Customer Support
- Handle customer inquiries and RFQs related to industrial valves.
- Prepare quotations and commercial offers.
- Follow up on quotations and negotiate under management guidance.
- Coordinate with customers regarding technical requirements and order status.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and channel partners.
Business Development
- Identify new customers, projects, consultants, contractors, EPC companies, and distributors.
- Generate leads through market research, online platforms, exhibitions, and networking.
- Maintain and update customer databases and CRM records.
- Support the sales team in expanding market presence across various industries.
Technical Coordination
- Review valve datasheets, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers for technical and commercial information.
- Assist in product selection and application support.
- Prepare compliance statements and technical documentation.
Administrative & Operational Support
- Maintain tender, quotation, and sales records.
- Support vendor registration and prequalification activities.
- Prepare sales reports, opportunity pipelines, and management updates.
- Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and accounts teams for smooth order execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 1-5 years of experience in industrial valve sales, tendering, or engineering products.
- Fresh Mechanical Engineers with relevant internship or tendering experience may also apply.
- Knowledge of GeM, CPPP, e-tendering platforms, and industrial procurement processes is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and CRM systems.
